Kids? You should ask your partner if she wants to have kids in the future. This can be a deal breaker, and while the decision doesn't have to be set in stone before the wedding, it should at least be discussed so you both understand each other and your individual feelings.
Religion? Another deal breaker can be religion. Often times people don't give much consideration to their partner's religion before their wedding. People tend to settle down after getting married, which can mean getting back to their religious roots. If you and your partner have different religious affiliations, make sure you discuss where you're going to have the wedding ceremony and how you're going to raise your children.
Parental Involvement? To what degree do you want your parents (and her parents) to be involved in your wedding? What about after the wedding? You and your bride to be should discuss your parents' involvement in your lives. This may seem trivial, but it has the potential to cause problems if you don't talk about it.
Career? Your careers are very big parts of yours and your fiancé's lives. This discussion should include topics such as willingness to relocate and whether or not one of you will stay home to raise your kids, if you choose to have children.
Finances? Most people dislike having conversations about money, but in this case, it's very important. Discuss your financial situations and how you plan on merging them once you're married.
